6. Click in the menu Action> to Save [Bitmap :1] and save the file with the name ORIGINAL.BMP

7. Open Photoshop and import the file ORIGINAL.BMP. it should appear only a black screen with 640 x 480 pixels and 72dpi. That is normal.

Choose the file NEW.BMP and confirm that the option Select bitmap to replace is with the number 1 (a). Click then in the button Replace, save the file (\boot\NTOSKRNL.EXE) and close the program.

Starting from now your WinXP will always carry in the login the image that you created... If WinXP presents some problem, it is enough you to follow the items 14 to 18, substituting in the item 17 the " copy c:\boot\ntoskrnl.exe c:\windows\system32 " for " copy c:\backup\ntoskrnl.exe c:\windows\system32 " to recuperate the file original NTOSKRNL.EXE...


OBSERVATIONS:
 
1.
If the words " HOME Edition " appear in the login screen, make the following: execute the file ResHacker.exe> it opens the file \boot\NTOSKRNL.EXE> it goes in Bitmap> 11> 1046 (or 1033)> it clicks in the menu Action> Delete [Bitmap:11].
Confirm the operation, save the file \boot\NTOSKRNL.EXE and continue with the items from 14 to 18.

2. If you installed Windows in a paste different from c:\windows, you should alter the " c:\windows " in the item 17, reflecting the correct paste the one where Windows XP is installed...
